Why I Created Seraphy
My Story
– From Feeling Lonely to Finding Comfort
Moving to a New Place
Moving to a new place as a kid was tough. I felt lonely and nervous.
A small toy in my hand or my pocket made me feel better and gave me the courage to adapt.
Realizing a Common Problem
Many kids feel the same way when they move to a new place.
A small companion can help them express their emotions and feel less alone.
The Birth of Seraphy
Seraphy was inspired by my own experiences. Because I have experienced and went through the same thorny path named "loneliness" as many kids still find themselves trapped in, I wish to make this journey easier for all of them.
Seraphy, as a comforting companion, will always be on your side, anywhere, anytime.

About Me
Serena Wang is currently a high schooler living in Great Neck, New York. She moved to the U.S. from Asia when she was just 8 years old. Although she struggled with the language barrier at first, she now speaks English and Mandarin fluently. In her free time, Serena loves to read classical Chinese novels, build LEGO sets, and construct plastic model kits.
When Serena first came to America, she often felt alone in school because she didn’t speak the language well. To comfort herself, she carried a small toy in her backpack every day. That quiet companion helped her get through tough moments and made her feel a little more understood. Years later, Serena created Seraphy, a pocket-sized toy with magnetic emotion faceplates, to give other kids the same comfort she once needed. Through Seraphy, she hopes to help children who feel isolated, anxious, or out of place know that they are not alone—and that someone understands how they feel, even without words.
